Gordon & Daria - what a fun couple!! They met in the gym in Edinburgh and soon fell in love. Their wedding was held at St Mary's Cathedral followed by a wedding reception and party at the Ghillie Dhu. When we met a few months before the wedding for the pre-shoot, I knew this would be great fun!! I just love the Russian Culture and the wedding was a fantastic mix between the two. The traditional ceremony at St Mary's Cathedral was completed with a confetti shower for the bride and groom and the Best Man couldn't wait to twirl his best friend around! Apparently a typically Scottish thing!!
We took a few photos in the church gardens and then ventured off to Inverleith Park for more photos. The guests were having a few drinks at the Ghillie Dhu before Gordon and Daria arrived back from the romantic photo session. They were welcomed by their master of ceremonies and had to complete a Russian Tradition - breaking the bread. There were lots of speeches, lots of laughter and especially the "Guess the Tune" was so funny!! Three volunteers were given earphones and only they could hear the tune. They had to dance to the tune, and the audience were then given three song choices and had to guess what they were dancing to!! Soooo funny!!!
What a fantastic summer's day for these two!!
