How much does engagement photography cost?
- Expect to receive at least 40 photographs from this special moment in your lives (high resolution for download, these images do not include a logo).
- The package includes my time on the day, taking the photos of the event plus up to 30 minutes after (a romantic couple session) and also any travel charges (train fees or parking charges).
- Your photos will be ready in approximately 7 days.
- You will receive a link to your own personal password-protected online gallery. (Check out this Edinburgh secret proposal gallery to get an idea of the number of images)
- You will receive a download link so you can download all your images.
- You will receive a few images on the same day for sharing with family and friends.
- Payment options: BACS or Online Card Payment
- Package Price: £295 (Mon-Fri)
- Package Price: £345 (Sat & Sun)
How to book a proposal photographer?
First - let's check the diary. Send me an email (use the form below on this page) and let me know your preferred date and location.
Once we finalised your plans, to book the proposal photography, you'd pay a £125 deposit. The remainder is due four weeks before the planned proposal. All payments can be made conveniently online, by debit or credit card, or BACS - online bank transfer.If your proposal is in less then 4 weeks, you'd pay the full amount by online card payment or BACS.

What is included?
- Taking the photos on the day & editing the photos after the event
- My time on the day & any travel / parking charges
- A minimum of 40 images - provided to you in high resolution from your engagement in Edinburgh
- Download all of your edited engagement photographs.
- Receive a few images on the same day so you can share them with family & friends
What is not included?
- Arranging of flowers or decorations
- Any permits that may be required by your chosen location
- Any ticket price that may be required
- Champagne
Which locations do you cover?
Edinburgh is a fantastic city. If you have any ideas about a particular location - just ask!
I am mostly a natural light photographer. If you're planning your proposal outdoors, I would love to chat with you.
For indoor proposals such as Edinburgh Castle, in a restaurant or in the evenings where flash is required it would be better to check other photographers' websites.
Can you take photos of a proposal in the evening in Edinburgh?
During the summer months - absolutely! Sunset is fantastic for an engagement and here in Scotland we have daylight up until 10 or 11 PM from May right through until August!
However, I won't be taking photos at night time when flash is required. I would be too obvious as a photographer. I am more of a discreet engagement photographer :)
Can we bring friends or family?
If you plan your proposal and you're travelling with family - and they all know what's about to happen - this will be super fun and emotional! They might all know what's about to happen but your partner is not expecting anything!
