I have known Tammy's mum for years and we were chatting on Facebook one evening about the cherry blossom and that I am looking for a cherry tree nearby and also for someone to be photographed! My friend whose family I have photographed a few years back said that her daughter could be my model! She put me in touch with Tammy and we quickly set a date. The weather threatened to be against us, but on the actual day of the photo shoot, we were waiting in the car for the showers to pass. Angry clouds and bright sunshine made for super photographs!
The day before, I drove around for an hour or so to find good locations for the next day - and most importantly to look for a really nice cherry tree! The most difficult thing was that most cherry trees were cut back, so that the branches were really high. But I wanted a messy tree, with the branches hanging down, and after driving around for what felt like ages, I spotted one in the distance and then I had to find my way there... It was worth it!!
