Fiona and Marc celebrated their wedding at Glencorse House in June 2018. Together with their 100 guests, on a beautiful warm and sunny summer's day, they exchanged their vows in the little church which is in the grounds of Glencorse House. Fiona and the girls spent the morning of the wedding getting ready at PeggysLea Farm, only a 10-minute drive from Glencorse House. Fiona arrived with her dad just outside the church, and they walked to the church following one of their friends playing the bagpipes. Just as the girls were ready to walk down the aisle, one of the flowergirls ran into the church, saying very excitedly "Fiona is wearing a big white dress!!! And it's full of flowers!!!". That was just so funny - and she managed to break the suspense just before the grand entrance of the girls.
The ceremony was led by Fiona's auntie, who is a minister. They had two readings during the ceremony. Fiona's and Marc's nieces and nephews enjoyed being in the limelight too. After the ceremony, the guests lined the path just outside the church for the confetti shower. The couple joined me straight after the ceremony down to the little lake, where the venue staff had prepared a few nibbles and drinks for the couple for refreshments. We could spend 20 minutes taking romantic photographs around the lake, and across the bridge, before joining the guests again at the house.
The weather forecast threatened with thunderstorms in the afternoon, but the weather was just glorious! As soon as the bride and groom entered the marquee and the speeches started - so did the rain. Everyone stayed dry in the marquee, and the rain stopped half way through the wedding breakfast. It was a lovely summer's evening, and guests could enjoy spending time outside the marquee after dinner. Fiona and Marc cut the cake just as they entered the marquee. It was such a lovely day, and I came home with sooo many photographs!
