Is this your venue? Or is it in the your list of favourite wedding venues in Edinburgh? I have worked at the Signet Library a few times. It's part of the Heritage Portfolio Group and I can reassure you, you are in good hands!
The Signet Library, situated in the very heart of the historic Old Town, just a stone’s throw from St Giles Cathedral, is the unique wedding venue of choice for brides and grooms who are searching for a magical combination of breathtaking setting, gorgeous design and details, perfect hospitality and, in essence, the wedding they’ve always yearned for.
From a practical point of view, The Signet Library is an unusual wedding venue: multi-faceted and therefore hugely flexible, there are several rooms to accommodate nuptials of any scale. The Lower Library is an elegant setting for a wedding ceremony (civil, religious or humanist ceremonies can take place here). The wonderfully long aisle is a suitably grand space for the solemnities, and to show off a bridal train. The Lower Library is also perfect for a drinks and canapés reception, or for tea and coffee service and cake cutting after your wedding breakfast, or a truly magnificent setting to simply welcome your evening guests.
A stunning grand staircase leads guests to the Upper Library which can accommodate 50-220 guests forany type of reception from a wedding breakfast to an evening affair. With a built in PA system and wooden dance floor, this part of the Library is ideal for wedding speeches and, naturally, dancing the night away with your guests.
The Signet Library address is: The Signet Library, just off the Royal Mile, Parliament Square, Edinburgh
Visit the Signet Library Edinburgh Luxury Wedding Venue website.
There is no parking outside the library, however, you can still arrive in style and the staff will allow you to be dropped off just outside the front door.
Hey, I am Nadin! (same as "Nadine" - just without the "e"). I am a photographer in Edinburgh, Scotland, specialising in secret engagement proposals in Edinburgh, Scotland and further afield. After 17 years of photographing weddings in Scotland and internationally, my business has changed during the pandemic.
Proposals are so much fun to be part of. I get so excited every single time I see the couple walking to their favourite spot and the most romantic question is imminent!
